Abstract

This work's objective was to determine the level of acceptance of Facebook as an emerging educational tool in the teaching-learning process of preschool children during the COVID-19
pandemic. At the end of the 2019-2020 school year and after having used Facebook as a technology tool for education, a survey was applied to 67 parents who assisted their children in the development of pedagogical activities. Six dimensions were evaluated: formative quality of the course, the methodology of the face-to-face and non-face-to-face parts, learning activities, the workload for the
children, technical and didactic training of the teacher-tutors, and technical and didactic quality of the training materials. When the sum of the percentages of "satisfied" and "very satisfied" responses exceeded 70%, it was considered an acceptable level of satisfaction. The results showed a level of acceptance above 70% in all the dimensions evaluated. The results suggest that the conditions are
in place to develop new methodologies to adapt the face-to-face educational process to a virtual or hybrid form at the initial education level.
