Abstract

Dear readers, Novasinergia begins the fifth year of its life, presenting its volume 5, number 1. Publishing our issue six months earlier than usual has been a challenge. However, the maturity of our journal, referees, authors, and readers has made it possible. Thanks to all of you. Publishing Vol. 4 No. 2 in December 2021 and Vol. 5 No. 1 in January has been a great deal of work. We have received articles from multiple disciplines both from abroad and from other universities in Ecuador. About 80 manuscripts have been processed, and only 20 articles have been accepted. Its readers have very well received Novasinergia. We do not doubt that we are on the way to consolidate ourselves as an important multidisciplinary scientific journal in Ecuador with our readers. It has been 1 year, 9 months, and 20 days since the World Health Organization declared the global pandemic. The battle continues with a slight feeling of overcoming the crisis. Nevertheless, we learned that we are fragile. And we must be vigilant, as well as continue to cultivate our generation of formal knowledge to survive the crises ahead. Thank you very much.
