Abstract

We got through the start and look to the future with optimism and challenges to overcome. Volume 1, number 2, NOVASINERGIA, presents a set of researches from multiple disciplines. We hope that these articles will be useful references in future studies of our readers. The first paper shows a methodological improvement in the optimal selection of zinc-coated cable for electrical installations. Follows a prototype for wastewater treatment, a cross-polarization study in a circular waveguide; extended access restrictions to handle massive machine-type communication deployments; and the design of a frequency converter prototype for commercial power networks. The issue continues with the analysis of Java Server Faces component libraries’ performance in web applications development. Follow the energy assessment of lube oil used in thermal combustion systems in the cement industry and the Fog Assists Cloud paradigm study to analyze genomic data. A system of grouping antennas defined by low-cost software, such as the MIMO measurement instrument, is evaluated. Finally, this issue reports a study on an underwater adhesive base.
