Abstract

Dear Scientific Community:

It is a privilege to present Volume 8, Number 2 of the Novasinergia Journal, corresponding to the second semester of 2025. This edition features a meticulously curated selection of research that investigates innovative and sustainable solutions, reinforcing the nexus between technology, the environment, and social development within the Ecuadorian and regional context.
The edition commences with studies addressing species conservation and water resource management, highlighting pioneering approaches to safeguard biodiversity and enhance the design of potable water infrastructure. This is followed by environmental analyses scrutinizing emissions of CO and NO₂ based on land use, providing a critical perspective on ecological impacts.
In the domain of occupational safety and organizational management, research is presented that assesses risks in agricultural activities and strategies to improve the organizational climate within construction firms, thereby fostering safer and more efficient working conditions. Sustainability in construction is further exemplified through investigations that explore the optimization of materials and energy, the utilization of recycled materials for progressive housing, the performance of innovative asphalt mixtures, and the thermal and environmental impact of materials across various climatic regions, underscoring a commitment to resilient and eco-friendly building practices.

These investigations reflect Novasinergia’s dedication to generating applied knowledge, promoting environmental resilience, and technological advancement.
