The Scientific Electronic Library Online - SciELO is a collection of Scientific journals.

Regional Online Information System for Scientific Journals from Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal. Latindex works on the basis of regional cooperation through a responsible institution in each participating country. In Ecuador, the responsible institution is the National Secretariat of Science and Technology SENESCYT (since 2010).

Google Scholar is a freely accessible web search engine that indexes the full text or metadata of scholarly literature across an array of publishing formats and disciplines. Released in beta in November 2004, the Google Scholar index includes most peer-reviewed online academic journals and books, conference papers, theses and dissertations, preprints, abstracts, technical reports, and other scholarly literature, including court opinions and patents.

The Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) is a website that hosts a community-curated list of open access journals, maintained by Infrastructure Services for Open Access (IS4OA). The project defines open access journals as scientific and scholarly journals making all their content available for free, without delay or user-registration requirement, and meeting high quality standards, notably by exercising peer review or editorial quality control. The aim of DOAJ is to "increase the visibility, accessibility, reputation, usage and impact of quality, peer-reviewed, open access scholarly research journals".

MIAR collects data for the identification and the analysis of scientific journals. MIAR is a COLLABORATIVE tool for showing the visibility of journals in abstracting and indexing databases, MIAR also provides information about journals from other evaluation tools, such as the Sello de Calidad FECYT, Scimago Journal Rank, or CARHUS+, as well as their open access policies as represented by the ROMEO colour.

The REDIB is a platform for aggregating scientific and academic content in electronic formats produced in the Ibero-American space. The REDIB has a clear purpose: promoting technological innovation in publishing-output tools, or related to it in a broader and geographically non-restrictive cultural and social sense. These provide access to, and facilitate the dissemination and implementation of scientific work done in the countries where it operates, particularly in the various languages belonging to them. The recipients of this information are both the academic community and society at large, as well as those responsible for scientific policy, and those who put it into practice and analyse it. The Internet ensures this information has global reach.

JournalTOCs has a collection of scholarly journal Tables of Contents (TOCs), it contains articles' metadata of TOCs for over 34,319 journals directly collected from over 3540 publishers. JournalTOCs is a Current Awareness Service (CAS), the newest papers can be found here. It is for researchers, librarians, students and anyone who's looking for the latest or most current papers published in the scholarly literature with international coverage.
